INTELLECT
There was a theory of multiple intelligence's that was created by a man named Howard Gardner, he came up with eight different categories that a developing child or person can fall under, and there is a possible ninth under discussion. Go through the brief descriptions of each of the eight intelligence's and you may find one that you and your child fall under:
1. Verbal- which is the ability to think in words and use language to express the meaning of something. Usually becoming a speaker, author, etc.
2. Mathematical- the ability to successfully figure out mathematical operations. Usually becoming engineers, accountants, etc.
3. Spatial- the ability to think in a three-dimensional point of view. Usually becoming architects, artists, etc.
4. Bodily kinesthetic- the ability to manipulate objects and to be physically adept. Usually becoming surgeons, athletes, etc.
5. Musical- having keen sensitivity to pitch, rhythm, melody, and tone. Usually falling in the category of composers, musicians, etc.
6. Interpersonal- the ability to interact and successfully understand others. Usually becoming teachers, or health professionals.
7. Intrapersonal- having the ability to understand oneself. Usually becoming theologians, or psychologists.
8. Naturalist- having the ability to observe patterns in nature and the effect humans have on the environment. Usually becoming farmers, botanists, etc.
