Perception and motor skills are coupled through our five senses. The way we perceive something allows our motor skills to act accordingly on the way we want to react to it. We perceive, and we react. It’s an ongoing process and comes with the development of our human bodies. The more we practice it and get in tune with our personalities, then the more we can react to our surroundings in a personal manor with our motor skills.

Melissa & Doug Shape Sorting Clock
The shape and sorting clock portrays the complete color wheel around each number on the clock, along with the blocks being colored differently they're each shaped differently as well. The child will have to show perception skills and fine motor skills if they wish to accomplish the 'game'. The hands also spin around, this toy would be *dis-habituating to the child.
The shape sorting clock promotes perceptual development through depth perception, along with experiencing different noises colors, and objects. If focuses on the sight, hearing, and touch senses the most.
A developmental psychologist would most likely because of the complication yet amusing design of the toy. But may seem like a hard toy to keep all the pieces because of the high probability of the baby losing the small blocks.

Leap Frog Learn & Groove Counting Maraca
The learn and groove microphone, get your baby into a dancing groove. The mic is bright colors, just like the last two toys were; this gets the babies attention more. The three setting on the mic teach you different subjects: counting 1-10, colors, and songs.
The toy promotes perceptual development through visual preference, but also focuses highly on sense of hearing. The baby hears happy sounds through each setting of the mic and enjoys his or her time. The child learns to associate noises to objects, and colors to attraction.
This toy is recommended to keep the child entertained and hopefully in an uplifting spirit. A childcare provider/parent would approve of the entertainment the child can get from the learn and groove microphone.
